Hunter Valley Wine Tours:

On our Hunter Valley Private Tours, we create the perfect day for those wanting to spoil themselves and indulge in cellar door wine tastings at some of the region’s best cellar doors. Sit back and relax as your wine presenter introduces you to the award-winning boutique wines produced in the valley. As well as the wines, you will also delight in local gourmet produce, enjoying cheese and chocolate along the way.

We LOVE boutique wineries, which are the heart and soul of the Hunter Valley. These small, unique, and sometimes family run wineries produce the best wines in the valley and the staff really know how to look after our groups. Alternatively, if there's anywhere in particular you wish to include on the itinerary let us know and we will try our best to work this into your itinerary.

On this tour you will also have the opportunity to visit a local brewery or The Hunter Distillery to indulge in some vodka and schnapps.

This tour is all about providing what you are after. Best of all, you have the power to choose your lunch venue according to your taste buds! Unless otherwise stated lunch is additional however we have many affordable, and super lux options with prices starting from $20 per person including a glass of wine!

Our drivers are fun and friendly and we pride ourselves on this! They will look after you from start to finish including taking care of all the tasting fees which are included in the cost of the tour.

Full-Day Hunter Valley Wine Tour Pricing: 

We can accommodate groups of all sizes so please contact us for pricing if your group size exceeds this.

Our pricing includes all tasting fees with an allowance of $10 per head, per winery. We can accommodate specific requests however if the winery tasting charge is more than this the difference will be charged.

Unless you book our Hunter Valley Highlights Tour lunch is not included in our pricing unless otherwise stated. If you decide upon one of our recommended set menus we can add this so everything is all-inclusive on the day.

Hunter Valley Wine Tour Itinerary Highlights

• Visit three cellar doors and enjoy cellar door wine tastings. On this private Hunter Valley tour choose the wineries from a selection of our recommendations or let us know where you would like to go and we will arrange the rest. 

• Indulge the senses in some local delights with gourmet cheese and/or chocolate tasting.

• Enjoy lunch at the venue of your choice.

• Option to visit the Hunter Distillery and enjoy a vodka, gin and schnapps tasting.

• Option to visit a local brewery for beer tasting. Beer tasting paddles payable directly based on consumption by each participant. Depending on which brewery we visit this is approximately $15 - $18 per head for 4 x 200ml glasses on tasting paddle.

Itinerary Details:

• On this Hunter Valley Wine Tour we will make sure you get to visit a selection of the best wineries in the region. Upon arriving at each of the wineries the passionate staff will take you through a tasting of their amazing wines. Most of the boutique wineries we visit on this Hunter Valley Wine Tour only allow tastings and purchases of their wines by visiting the cellar door in the Hunter Valley.

• Hunter Valley Wine Tours are not just about the wine! The area is also home to other great local produce. A day in the Hunter Valley is not complete without indulging in the other local delights. Whether it’s cheese, chocolate, olives or condiments that you fancy we will work these visits into your tour.

• Cheese Tastings. We will visit either the Smelly Cheese Shop or Hunter Belle Cheese Room.

• If chocolate is your thing you can’t go past the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company or Pokolbin Chocolate Co. Indulge in their great chocolates and fudges. We also have suitable storage on the bus to keep any items cool on the journey home.

• If you fancy it visit the Hunter Valley Olive Co. Sample their range of products, made from the finest olives and other quality produce, grown and sourced in the Hunter Valley at their tasting room located at the Ben Ean Winery, in Pokolbin.

• The Hunter Valley is home to a number of breweries that all hit the spot at the end of a hard day wine tasting. Our personal favourite is Foghorn Brewery at The Mighty Hunter Valley, formerly Potters Brewery. Work your way through the many craft beers available for tasting. Tasting glasses and paddles payable directly by each guest on the day based on consumption.

• The Hunter Distillery is a certified organic distillery right in the heart of the Hunter Valley. It is home to great Gin, Vodka, Liquor's and Schnapps and is always a popular stop before heading home. Tasting fees included.

• We can basically go anywhere in the valley for lunch, the choice is yours! Set menu options including a glass of wine start at $20 per head. Let us know the type of lunch you are after and your budget and will get some recommendations and menus over to you. If you already have somewhere in mind that is fine! We can work this into the itinerary for the day and make the arrangements on your groups behalf.

•  Wineries. Unless we receive specific requests we will select a number of boutique wineries for your group tastings. Some of our favourite wineries for a group your size would be Ernest Hill Wines, Savannah Estate, Hanging Tree Wines, Capercaillie Wines, Mount View Estate and Briar Ridge.

• Specific winery requests. If you do have any particular wineries you would like to visit we can accommodate this. Depending on what you select additional tasting fees may apply.

Hanging Tree Wines 

The Hanging Tree Cellar Door (once a cattle shed) warmly welcomes our groups with its rustic charm and antique decor. The winery offers stunning views of the Brokenback mountain range, rose gardens and vineyards and provides the perfect atmosphere to taste their range of award-winning wines. Tasting fees are included in our pricing.

Savannah Estate

The lovely ladies at Savannah Estate will guide your group through a relaxed tasting of their wide range of luscious wines. Savannah is the youngest granddaughter of the renowned Petersons. All her wines are produced from small select parcels of premium fruit grown in renowned viticulture regions throughout Australia. Savannah Estate is perfect for those that like sparkling wines, Semillon’s, as well as red and white blends. Tasting fees included.

Allandale Winery

The Allandale cellar door and winery are located in Lovedale, the heart of the Hunter Valley. The friendly cellar door staff offer an excellent tasting experience of tasting wines of a wide range of their high quality wines. Sit back and appreciate the wine whilst enjoying the panoramic view across the vineyards to the Brokenback Mountain Ranges. Tasting fees included.

Twine Restaurant

Twine Restaurant is a favourite amongst our groups. Twine offers a modern Australian menu, showcasing local produce with group menus from $30 per head.  Overlooking the picturesque vineyards, Twine Restaurant spills out onto a rose-trimmed courtyard perfect for lunch and a glass of wine in the sunshine. Groups can enjoy live music in the courtyard on Saturdays.

Hunter Distillery

The Hunter Distillery is the only certified organic distillery in the Hunter Valley wine region. It is locally owned and operated, producing an exceptional range of top shelf spirits, including Gin, Vodkas, Liqueurs, Schnapps and their award winning COPPERWAVE DISTILLED GIN. Including a visit on your tour is recommended as there is a flavour for every taste. A tasting fee of $5 per head may apply.

Hunter Belle Cheese Room

Amongst Australia's best for cheese, Hunter Belle Cheese produces unique, artisan cheese products from the milk of Brown Swiss Cows. All the cheese at Hunter Belle is hand made using traditional methods, which results in the quality cheese that is loved by foodies around the country. Located in the Ben Ean Complex at the beautiful historic Lindeman’s Estate, with their handmade cheese, decadent fudge and indulgent gelato there is something for everyone.

Blaxland Inn

Blaxland Estate is a 28 acre property on Broke Road in Pokolbin, the heart of the Hunter Valley Wine Region.Blaxland’s was one of the first few restaurants in the Pokolbin area, orginally named Blaxland’s Barn and erected in 1976. Blaxland Inn is famous for its steaks, hearty meals and classic country hospitality. Relax and enjoy an all-round experience of food, boutique wines and craft beers.

The Mighty Hunter Valley (Formerly Potters & Foghorn Brewery)

One of the Hunter Valley's most iconic institutions has had a refurb and a brand new name. The kitchen offeres casual, family friendly, fresh local produce driven dining in a relaxed pub style atmosphere. Also home to The Foghorn Brewery cellar door offering regular tours and tastings.

Iron Bark Hill Brewhouse

Surrounded by wines on the of Peter Drayton Wines the Brewhouse opened to the public in 2017. Every day you will find 10 beers and 2 ciders pouring fresh on tap, ranging from Pale Ales and Lagers to Stouts and Porters. Also home to The Brewhouse Kitchen, where you can enjoy delicious gourmet pizzas from the Italian outdoor pizza oven, as well as a range of tempting pastas, salads, wings and more!
